"account": "Amazon Prime Big Deal Days may have concluded, but the Garmin Varia rearview radar light remains available with a notable discount. The Garmin Varia RCT715, a highly-rated bike light, is currently priced at $348 on Amazon, representing a 13% reduction from its original price of $399.99. In the UK, the same product is available for $299.99, a 14% decrease from its listed price of £349.99. These discounts are part of Amazon's Big Deal Days promotions, which are unlikely to persist for long.\n\nThe Garmin Varia RCT715 is more than just a rear light; it is a comprehensive safety tool that combines radar, camera, and rear light functions into a lightweight and compact unit. This device not only provides excellent visibility but also offers a built-in rearward camera and radar functionality. The Varia alerts cyclists to approaching traffic from behind, providing details on the vehicle's distance, speed, and number, thereby enhancing road safety.\n\nIn addition to its safety features, the Garmin Varia RCT715 records rides, offering users a way to review their journeys. Its radar detection system, combined with a camera, provides both visual and audible alerts for vehicles approaching from the rear. The device also seamlessly integrates with various bike computers, including non-Garmin models, adding to its versatility and utility for cyclists.\n\nWhile the author of this report does not provide a direct review of the Garmin Varia RCT715, they reference an evaluation from Cycling Weekly, which awarded the product a 4.5 out of 5 stars. This external review corroborates the author's positive assessment, stating that the Varia is an impressive unit capable of filming, providing a rear light, and incorporating radar. The author echoes this sentiment, highlighting the device's ease of use, excellent camera film quality, good rear light, and most importantly, the radar as the standout feature due to its accuracy and usefulness.\n\nIn summary, the Garmin Varia RCT715, currently available at a reduced price during Amazon's post-Prime Big Deal Days sales, is a top-tier cycling safety gadget that combines multiple functions into one efficient device. Its comprehensive set of safety features, coupled with excellent recording capabilities and ease of use, make it a valuable addition for any cyclist prioritizing road safety.",
