"account": "Manchester United has reportedly made a significant decision regarding a potential reunion with midfielder Scott McTominay, amid growing speculation of his return to his boyhood club. McTominay's career took a positive turn after leaving United in 2024 to join Napoli. Since then, he has been instrumental in Napoli's Serie A title win and received the MVP award during his first season.\n\nReports suggest that both Manchester United and Aston Villa are interested in bringing McTominay back to the Premier League. However, the Scotland international remains in talks with Napoli, where his representatives and the club are at odds over wages. Napoli reportedly values McTominay at €25m-30m, an amount that United and Villa could easily afford.\n\nAccording to Football Insider, United is not considering a deal for McTominay, as they prefer to add a younger player to their squad. The 30-year-old McTominay, who turns 30 in December, does not fit the profile the Red Devils are seeking. Peter O’Rourke stated that \"it’s unlikely that he returns to Manchester United\" as he is approaching the latter stages of his career.\n\nUnited is expected to focus on strengthening their defensive department in the upcoming summer transfer window. They have already signed three new midfielders, Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Carlos Baleba. The validity of these reports requires corroboration from more reliable sources.",
