"summary": "Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has urged transport unions in the state to stop increasing fares arbitrarily, as it makes life uncomfortable for residents. According to the governor, his administration has made significant investments in the transport sector, including constructing or reconstructing over 1,700 kilometres of roads and building an airport.\n\nThe governor made the appeal at a rally where nine transport unions endorsed the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Solomon Adeola. The unions, which operate under the Transport Alliance for Yayi, include the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria and the National Union of Road Transport Workers.\n\nAbiodun's administration has implemented a multimodal transport master plan to create an enabling environment for the transport sector to thrive. The governor expects transport operators to reciprocate the government's efforts by not punishing commuters with arbitrary fare increases, as per Daily Post Nigeria.",
