"summary": "Rotimi Amaechi, the vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has made comments about President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027. According to Daily Post Nigeria and Daily Trust, Amaechi said that only \"mad men\" or \"thieves\" would vote for Tinubu. He made these statements at an Edo State ADC stakeholders' town hall meeting in Benin City. Amaechi urged Edo residents not to support Tinubu's re-election bid, saying it would be the wrong decision.\n\nThe Edo APC responded to Amaechi's comments, dismissing them as \"senseless\", as reported by Punch.\n\nAmaechi also criticized the Tinubu administration, questioning the planned development of another seaport in Ogun State. According to Daily Trust, he asked whether the state generates sufficient cargo to justify additional port infrastructure.",
