"account": "The Pakistan Army has recently completed a 66-kilometer road connecting Shagma in Astore with Manthokha in Skardu, significantly improving travel between the two districts. This newly constructed route, built through challenging mountainous terrain in a relatively short time frame, has reduced the journey between Astore and Skardu to just a few hours.\n\nMoreover, the Shagma-Manthokha road has restored direct access to the district headquarters for eight villages located in the Phoota Khas Valley of Gultari, making travel far more convenient for local residents. This improved connectivity is anticipated to foster local trade, agriculture, and the transportation of livestock, while also providing easier access to essential markets and services.\n\nThe project has been warmly received by the local population, who believe it will make travel easier and boost economic activity in the area. The road is part of a larger initiative to enhance connectivity and stimulate social and economic development in the mountainous communities of Gilgit-Baltistan.",
