"account": "President John Dramani Mahama has praised Trade, Agribusiness and Industry Minister Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare for her dedication to Ghana's manufacturing and industrial sectors. The President commended her for actively engaging with businesses and tackling the challenges they face. During a visit to Kasapreko Plc's manufacturing plant in Accra on Thursday, October 8, 2026, Mahama highlighted the company's expansion and job creation contributions to the industrial development. He noted that redesignating the Ministry of Trade as the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry broadens its mandate, giving the industrial sector a stronger voice within government. Previously, trade was the sole focus of the Ministry; now, industries have a dedicated voice and a hardworking Minister to address their concerns. Mahama also acknowledged the Minister's role in addressing issues like water supply, land acquisition, and other obstacles to industrial growth. The President emphasized his administration's commitment to fostering stronger collaboration with the private sector to boost industrialization and economic transformation, with the goal to raise manufacturing's contribution to GDP to at least 15% by 2030. Madam Ofosu-Adjare thanked Mahama for his support and commitment to Ghana's industrial sector, describing him as the \"Commander-in-Chief of Industry\" for creating an environment that attracts investments and creates jobs.",
