"account": "The football governing body UEFA has presented a 14-point reform plan aimed at overhauling FIFA's leadership, oversight, and funding structures. At a meeting in Berlin, UEFA and 54 of its 55 national associations agreed on the proposals, with the exception of Azerbaijan. UEFA emphasizes that mere institutional reforms are insufficient and calls for new leadership at FIFA, emphasizing the need for a respected figure with strong football experience and a dedication to development, reform, integrity, and independence.\n\nThe plan seeks to diminish the FIFA president's direct powers and prohibit interference in bodies handling ethics and disciplinary matters. Additionally, UEFA advocates for safeguards to prevent FIFA resources from being used for personal or electoral purposes. Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Ramon Vega has expressed his intention to challenge incumbent FIFA president Gianni Infantino, although he must gather five supporting letters to qualify for the ballot. UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin has expressed no interest in contesting Infantino but is committed to finding a candidate capable of uniting the football community. Infantino is anticipated to seek re-election in FIFA's presidential election scheduled for March.",
