"account": "On October 6, 2026, the Norwegian Football Federation lodged two formal complaints against FIFA President Gianni Infantino. The federation requested the Ethics Committee and Governance, Audit and Compliance Committee to investigate several matters related to Infantino's leadership and decision-making processes.\n\nThe first complaint concerns FIFA's Peace Prize, awarded to U.S. President Donald Trump in December 2025. Norway questioned the award's creation and presentation process, including whether FIFA followed proper governance procedures. The federation also sought an independent examination of the Peace Prize's approval process and political neutrality considerations.\n\nThe second complaint focuses on FIFA's 2026 World Cup disciplinary decision involving U.S. forward Folarin Balogun. Norway criticized the process behind Balogun's initial red card and subsequent suspension, which was later deferred for a one-year probationary period. The federation asked FIFA's independent bodies to review whether political intervention affected the disciplinary process' independence.\n\nAdditionally, Norway raised concerns about FIFA Forward Enterprise, a proposed commercial project involving private investment in football competitions. The federation questioned whether the project advanced without sufficient involvement from the FIFA Council and whether contacts with potential investors adhered to proper procedures.\n\nFIFA responded to Norway's complaints, referring to a September letter from Infantino to member associations addressing concerns about the disputed decisions. However, no further details were provided in the source material.",
