"account": "Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori announced the establishment of an Air Defence Unit within the 83 Division of the Nigerian Army. The move aims to bolster security and safeguard critical national assets in the state. According to Festus Ahon, the governor's Chief Press Secretary, the 83 Division, which encompasses Delta, Edo, and Bayelsa states, will enhance the Army's ability to counter security threats across these regions. The Air Defence Unit will be stationed in Delta due to the area's strategic location and its closeness to an airport. The state government has allocated land for a temporary facility, with plans underway for a permanent site. Between 300 and 400 military personnel are expected to join the unit in the coming weeks. Oborevwori emphasized that improved security has led to a decrease in crimes such as armed robbery, kidnapping, and other violent acts. This new military formation will also contribute to securing oil and gas infrastructure and other vital national assets in Delta. The governor pledged ongoing support for the military and security agencies, directing the Commissioners for Housing and Lands to assess and evaluate the temporary site, including any necessary repairs to existing structures.",
