"account": "David Ellison and Skydance co-CEO Ynon Kreiz reiterated the importance of editorial independence between CNN and CBS News during a CNBC interview on Thursday. Ellison emphasized that \"He’s done a phenomenal job\" with Mark Thompson, who will continue leading CNN post the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger. Ellison also expressed confidence in CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, stating that corporate will stay out of editorial decisions. When asked about newsgathering operations, Ellison stated that corporate's role is to support CNN and CBS News, noting that further details are still unknown. This stance comes after Weiss addressed her newsroom's future, assuring employees that nothing will change and the process will unfold over time. Ellison and his leadership team expressed excitement about Thompson and Weiss' work and are thrilled with their contributions.",
