"account": "Dubai: After a two-year hiatus, Kamal Haasan's anticipated sequel 'Indian 3' is making a triumphant return, as confirmed by Lyca Productions. The long-delayed installment, part of the Kamal Haasan-Shankar franchise, is set to resume filming under the banner of \"War Mode.\" The production house announced the revival of the film on Thursday, unveiling striking new posters that signal the third chapter of the popular series is finally back on track. Director S Shankar shared an image featuring three figures riding horses, further hinting at the imminent resumption of work on the project.\n\nThe announcement follows months of speculation that 'Indian 3' might be shelved due to the underwhelming performance of its predecessor, 'Indian 2'. Released in 2024, the sequel received mixed-to-negative reviews and significantly underperformed at the box office. 'Indian 2' reunited Haasan with Shankar, returning the latter's vigilante character Senapathy from the 1996 blockbuster 'Indian' to the silver screen. The film also starred Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Priya Bhavani Shankar, with music by Anirudh Ravichander and a screenplay penned by Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu, and Lakshmi Saravanakumar.\n\nDespite its disappointing theatrical response, 'Indian 2' still managed to rank among the highest-grossing Tamil films of 2024. With Lyca Productions now declaring their \"War Mode,\" audiences can expect to witness the continuation of Senapathy's gripping story in the upcoming 'Indian 3'.",
