"account": "ESPN's Bill Barnwell has ranked Brock Purdy ahead of Patrick Mahomes in his quarter-season MVP rankings, a rare feat for a quarterback. Purdy's performance in the San Francisco 49ers' opening month has been marked by a lack of wasted possessions and an absence of turnovers. This combination has placed him at the top of Barnwell's list, with Trevor Lawrence, Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes following. Barnwell highlighted Purdy's ability to maintain efficiency despite varying availability at receiver and a running game that isn't particularly strong. His 9.2 yards per dropback and nearly 61% success rate on dropbacks are among the best in the NFL. Purdy's achievement of going 50 passes through the first quarter of a season without a sack is historically significant, making him the first quarterback since Peyton Manning in 2004 to do so. This accomplishment, coupled with his low interception rate and high Total QBR, positions Purdy as a strong contender for MVP honors.",
"summary": "Brock Purdy’s early MVP case goes beyond winning games. One remarkable part of his start puts the 49ers quarterback alongside Peyton Manning.",
