"account": "Amazon unveiled a new line of Alexa tablets on Thursday, featuring advanced Alexa+ AI assistant and access to Google Play Store. The lineup consists of three models: Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, Alexa Tablet 11, and Alexa Tablet 8. Each tablet boasts an aluminum unibody design, high-resolution displays, and runs on Android. With the Google Play Store access, users can download thousands of apps, including popular ones like YouTube, Netflix, and Gmail. This marks a departure from Amazon's previous Fire OS and associated app store. Amazon claims these are new products with new hardware and operating system, not rebranded Fire Tablets. The Alexa Tablet 12 Pro is the largest, measuring 6.5mm thick, and features a 12-inch, 280 PPI display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3:2 aspect ratio for enhanced screen space. It offers nearly three times the processing and nine times the graphics performance of prior tablets. It includes Dolby Atmos speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, and supports up to 16 hours of video playback. The Alexa Tablet 12 Pro and its accessories, including a stylus and keyboard, start at $499.99. The Alexa Tablet 11 is an 11-inch device with a 2.5K display, 90Hz scrolling, and 16:10 aspect ratio. It is priced at $329.99 and available in Graphite, Amethyst, and Matcha. Lastly, the Alexa Tablet 8 is the smallest and most portable, with an 8.7-inch display and weighs 329 grams. It starts at $229.99 and comes in Graphite, Rosette, and Teal. All tablets come with a new Kindle reading experience, including silenced notifications, reduced blue light, and up to 20 hours of battery life. The new tablets and Amazon Kids tablets will be available in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan starting October 14, 2026.",
