"account": "Pakistan is among the countries most severely impacted by climate change, with floods, landslides, smog and other disasters straining its limited economic resources, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on October 8. In a message commemorating the 21st National Day of Resilience, Sharif honored the victims of the October 8, 2005 earthquake and commended the bravery, compassion and sacrifice exhibited by Pakistanis in its aftermath. Despite its constrained resources, Pakistan continues to experience a range of natural disasters, such as floods, earthquakes, landslides, epidemics and smog. The nation has consistently shown resilience and remains dedicated to enhancing disaster preparedness, Sharif added. The government is striving to enhance collaboration among provincial administrations, public institutions, the private sector and civil society to bolster responses to natural disasters. Sharif acknowledged the commendable work of disaster management agencies, rescue services and the armed forces in handling emergencies, emphasizing that the public's solidarity and support remain integral to the country's national identity. To enhance disaster response systems, the government is leveraging the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to integrate modern technologies, including more effective early warning systems supported by dependable data and analysis.",
