"account": "As preparations for the 2027 general elections in Yobe State commence, Commissioner of Police Usman Kanfani Jibrin has emphasized the importance of professional conduct among police officers. During a strategic security meeting with command management, tactical commanders, and Divisional Police Officers at the Police Headquarters in Damaturu, Jibrin urged senior officers to maintain the high standards of discipline demonstrated during the recent local government elections. He commended officers for their exemplary behavior and reiterated the necessity of adhering to the Electoral Act and other relevant laws when conducting election-related duties.\n\nJibrin also expressed concern over the recurring farmer-herder clashes that have plagued certain parts of the state during the harvest season. He directed Divisional Police Officers to employ proactive measures, such as intelligence-led policing and community engagement, to prevent such conflicts from spiraling out of control. Furthermore, he cautioned against any instances of bias or the use of excessive force when dealing with communal disputes, stressing the importance of impartiality and restraint.\n\nThe meeting concluded with an interactive session where officers provided feedback on field challenges and sought operational guidance to enhance security service delivery across Yobe State. Jibrin's call to arms serves as a reminder of the critical role that police officers will play in ensuring a fair and peaceful electoral process in 2027.",
