"account": "A police inspector and eleven other officers have been charged again in Sungai Petani, Kedah, for allegedly using drugs two years ago, according to prosecutors. All twelve accused, aged between 29 and 57, appeared before magistrates Noor Farah Hazwani Osman and Noor Fazlina Musa on Monday. They pleaded not guilty to the charges, which stemmed from the consumption of ketamine and MDMA at Aman Square between 4.20am and 7.23am on October 2, 2024. The accused were charged under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, carrying a possible two-year prison sentence or a fine of up to RM5,000. Bail was set at RM2,000 each for the five accused before Noor Farah, with one surety, and RM1,800 each for the seven accused before Noor Fazlina, also with one surety. Cases were managed by deputy public prosecutors Nur Hazwani Noor and Adlin Sufiya Kamaruzzaman, while lawyers Suhaimi Ibrahim and Khairul Fairuz Rahman represented eight, and Burhanudden Abdul Wahid represented the four. All were suspended immediately following the drug test positive results on October 2, 2024.",
