"account": "Amnesty International has called for the reversal of expulsion and suspension imposed on a final-year nursing student and 14 other 500-level students at Madonna University's Elele Campus in Rivers State. The student rights organization made the plea on its X account, describing the sanctions as disproportionate and urging the university to resolve the issue through dialogue and mediation. Amnesty International urged the university to prioritize open communication and mediation, highlighting the heavy-handed nature of the academic or disciplinary actions taken against the students. The video in question showcased nursing students dancing in various locations within the university, contributing to the \"Gen Z nurses\" challenge on social media. The video, recorded on campus, garnered significant attention on platforms such as X, with a 15-second clip garnering over 1.7 million views within days of its release. Amnesty International emphasized that the sanctioned students are entitled to freedom of expression, academic freedom, and education, stating that such heavy-handed measures could have lasting consequences for their academic and professional futures. The organization also called on the university to ensure its disciplinary policies and procedures align with international human rights standards.",
