"account": "Three transmission towers collapsed during a storm in Nasarawa State, causing a disruption to electricity supply to 33kV feeders in Keffi and Akwanga. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) reported that the incident occurred on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, during rainy and windy conditions. The collapse affected towers T78, T79 and T80, which led to the tripping of the 132kV Karu-Keffi-Akwanga Single Circuit Transmission Line. The affected 33kV outgoing feeders at the Keffi and Akwanga transmission substations were subsequently isolated. TCN stated that investigations revealed the three towers had collapsed, and they promptly isolated the line for safety reasons. The company has dispatched engineers to assess the damage and begin restoration work, but a timeline for the return of normal electricity supply has not been provided.",
