"summary": "The Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly (KoKMA) in Ghana is actively seeking global partnerships to advance the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in local governance. Speaking at a media briefing in Accra following a participation in an international policy exchange forum in Seoul, South Korea, KoKMA's Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr Alfred Allotey-Gaisie highlighted the importance of stronger partnerships among cities, governments, businesses and development institutions. These collaborations could facilitate knowledge sharing, investment mobilisation, institutional capacity building and practical solutions to urban challenges. KoKMA has already implemented a Digital Revenue Mobilisation Strategy, which includes digitally mapping properties and businesses and introducing digital payment tools to improve local governance and service delivery. The MCE emphasized the importance of digital inclusion, ensuring that all residents, regardless of their technological access, can benefit from digital public services. KoKMA is also exploring further applications of AI, data analytics, open data, and other emerging technologies to support urban planning, revenue management, environmental services, and sustainable development. The MCE invited cities and municipalities worldwide to establish sister-city partnerships with KoKMA, fostering friendship, innovation, and knowledge exchange.",
