"account": "Russian AI firm Yandex reported that its core services remained operational despite a drone strike on its major data center located in Russia's Ryazan region on Thursday. The attack resulted in a fire and prompted the company to cease operations at the facility entirely. Yandex asserted that it was currently addressing the aftermath and working to restore the affected services.\n\nThe company's spokesperson emphasized that its consumer-oriented services, including YandexGPT, one of Russia's leading generative AI models, remained unaffected by the incident. This marked a significant development as Russian entities had not previously targeted core Russian data centers with drone strikes in recent weeks, unlike the barrage of attacks on Ukrainian data centers.\n\nYandex Cloud service users were alerted to ongoing electricity supply issues at one data center zone on the company's website, advising them to utilize alternative zones.",
"summary": "The attack on the Yandex data centre followed a wave of Russian attacks on Ukrainian data centres in recent weeks.",
