"account": "India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged for a global framework to combat cyber frauds and deepfakes at the tenth edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026. Addressing the gathering, Modi emphasized that digital threats have transcended national boundaries and necessitate coordinated efforts from all stakeholders, including governments, technology companies, telecom operators, and financial institutions. He urged the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) and telecom operators worldwide to join hands in establishing a global mechanism to prevent such frauds from reaching the people. Modi highlighted that India has gained valuable insights from its experiences in addressing digital crimes and stands ready to share these learnings with the global community. He underscored that technology can only achieve widespread trust when users place confidence in it. Modi pointed out that criminals, operating from different countries, can carry out crimes in another nation through the use of deepfakes, which pose a significant challenge in the digital age.",
