"account": "The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a successful operation against a hideout of kidnappers in the Ogbadigbo Local Government Area of Benue State. This fact was confirmed by the Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, in a statement released on Wednesday.\n\nNAF provided crucial close air support to ground forces during the mission, which was targeted towards suspected kidnappers near the Enugu–Benue boundary. According to Ejodame, the operation effectively disrupted the criminal elements' activities, thereby aiding the progress of the ground forces.\n\nUpon returning to their base after the completion of the mission, the NAF pilot, in line with standard operational procedures for combat missions, performed a precautionary landing at a location approximately 10 nautical miles away from the airfield. He then safely returned to their base, confirming that the helicopter was operational after the mission.\n\nEjodame reiterated the NAF's commitment to continuously exert pressure on criminal elements, offering close air support to ground forces and safeguarding communities through combined air and ground operations. He emphasized that the successful operation highlighted the NAF's ongoing determination to curb criminal activities and contribute to the restoration of safety and security for affected communities.",
