"account": "Nana Patekar, a celebrated figure in Bollywood and Indian cinema, has passed away at the age of 75 following a reported cardiac arrest. According to the chief oncology specialist at Manipal Hospital, Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Patekar was found unresponsive at his residence in Goa early on October 8 and was rushed to the hospital. Despite 45 minutes to an hour of cardiac massage, Patekar could not be revived, leading to his declaration of death by 5:30 a.m. local time. His body was subsequently taken to the Goa Medical College for a post-mortem examination. Born as Vishwanath Patekar in Murud-Janjira on January 1, 1951, he pursued his education at Mumbai’s Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art. His career began with a stage role, which led to his debut in the film \"Gaman\" in 1978. Patekar gained widespread recognition for his role in \"Parinda\" (1989), earning him an Indian National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and a Filmfare Award. He continued to deliver notable performances in films such as \"Angaar,\" \"Ab Tak Chhappan,\" \"Agni Sakshi,\" and \"Khamoshi: The Musical.\" However, his later years were marred by controversy, including a sexual harassment allegation made by actress Tanushree Dutta in 2018, which Patekar vehemently denied. Despite the allegations, he was cleared by the Mumbai police following an investigation. Industry colleagues have expressed their deep sorrow over Patekar's death, with Akshay Kumar praising his unique talent and Riteish Deshmukh describing him as the \"sky of acting\" whose presence will be deeply missed.",
