"account": "Veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away at the age of 75 on October 8, 2026, after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Goa. He was survived by his son, Malhar Patekar. The actor had been married to Neelakanti Patekar for many years, though they had lived separately for around 35 years and never officially divorced. Neelakanti, who also had a career in the film industry, was awarded the Maharashtra State Government's Best Actress award in 1989 for her role in the Marathi film Aatmvishwas. Despite living apart, Nana and Neelakanti remained in a legally married status. The couple had a son, Malhar. The reasons behind their separation have been attributed to differences in their personalities, but the exact circumstances remain private. Nana Patekar's relationship with actress Manisha Koirala was also a subject of media interest during the 1990s, but it was never confirmed as a romantic relationship, only a close professional connection.",
