"account": "Minnesota authorities have charged an 18-year-old man, Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud, for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at a shopping mall in support of ISIS. FBI Director Kash Patel revealed that Mohamud purchased an AK-47 rifle and ammunition from an undercover agent, foiling his intended attack. Mohamud, from Richfield, Minnesota, allegedly aimed to kill 30 to 60 people at the Mall of America, a venue he claimed was Jewish-owned. He allegedly shared his plans with an FBI source through hundreds of messages since 2024, including a video pledging allegiance to ISIS. Mohamud is accused of wanting to emulate other ISIS-inspired attacks, such as the 2016 Pulse Nightclub Shooting in Florida. He identified October 24 as the date for his planned attack, targeting Asians and other non-Muslims during a Hmong Arts Celebration at the mall. Mohamud faces a charge of knowingly receiving a firearm and ammunition to commit a federal terrorism crime and appeared before a federal judge on Wednesday.",
