"account": "The leaders of Germany's coalition government, Chancellor Friedrich Merz and SPD chairman Lars Klingbeil, met for around four hours in Berlin to discuss the country's reform agenda and 2027 budget. The meeting, which took place at the Chancellor's office, was described as \"good\" and \"very constructive\" by those involved, with Union parliamentary leader Thorsten Frei saying \"Gut war s\" as he left. The talks focused on implementing reforms already agreed in July and the 2027 budget, with a written update expected on Thursday. The meeting was the first between the coalition leaders in over three months, and comes after recent state elections in which the coalition parties suffered losses.",
"summary": "This time it did not go late into the night. Shortly after 10 pm, the first coalition committee meeting in three months came to an end. Is there now a timetable for the reforms?",
