"account": "The United States has issued a security alert for its citizens in Saudi Arabia due to ongoing concerns over threats by the Houthis against airports and airspace. The US Mission in Saudi Arabia warned all US citizens to exercise heightened vigilance, as the situation could impact air travel and movement within the country. The Houthis have a history of engaging in hostilities against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on civilian airports, and have threatened military escalation.\n\nThe US Mission advised American citizens to be prepared for potential flight cancellations, airspace closures and other travel disruptions. Travelers were urged to verify their flight status directly with airlines and airports before heading to the airport. The mission also recommended that US citizens avoid traveling near the Yemen border due to security risks. Government employees working in Saudi Arabia were restricted from traveling within 20 miles of the Yemen border and required special authorization to visit certain areas, including Jizan, Asir, Najran, Qatif, Yanbu and Taif.\n\nThis warning follows heightened regional security concerns and the recent public threats by the Houthis against Saudi airports.",
