"account": "Jayden Daniels, the Washington Commanders quarterback, is expected to return to full practice participation on October 7, 2026, in a significant step towards his recovery from a dislocated elbow injury that sidelined him since Week 2. This comes after a particularly injury-riddled season for NFL quarterbacks, with the Commanders experiencing numerous setbacks in that position. Daniels missed the second half of Washington's second game, as well as Weeks 3 and 4, following his injury in Week 2. During Week 4, backup quarterback Marcus Mariota suffered a sprained MCL, leaving seventh-rounder Athan Kaliakmanis to fill in for the remainder of the game. However, it now appears that Daniels is ready to make his third start of the season in Week 5 against the Giants. ESPN reporter John Keim captured Daniels practicing at full capacity on October 7, and head coach Dan Quinn confirmed that Daniels would be a full participant in practice. This progress suggests that Daniels, a former No. 2 overall pick, could be available for the game against the Giants on Sunday, October 11.",
