"account": "The African Democratic Congress (ADC) campaign council has cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against allowing partisan interests to affect the 2027 general elections. The council expressed concern that voter registration figures would hold little significance if eligible Nigerians cannot obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). ADC-PCC Director of Media and Publicity, Kola Ologbondiyan, made these demands in response to INEC's World Press Conference on Tuesday. Ologbondiyan emphasized the necessity for INEC to maintain independence, transparency, and neutrality throughout the electoral process. He stressed that INEC must ensure that every eligible voter who completes registration can effectively obtain a PVC before election day. The ADC-PCC argued that bureaucratic bottlenecks and delays at PVC collection centers could disenfranchise voters, especially in opposition strongholds. The council urged INEC to decentralize PVC collection to the ward level, extend collection hours, and employ technology to inform voters when their cards are ready for collection. The ADC-PCC also demanded compliance with the Constitution and Electoral Act throughout the electoral cycle, from voter registration to result declaration. They vowed to hold INEC accountable for any deviation from these principles, warning that any attempt to manipulate the electoral process in favor of the ruling party would be met with resistance.",
