"account": "In Abuja, the FCT Police have apprehended a 27-year-old woman, Precious Yohanna, for the alleged murder of her newborn son using a razor blade, the police spokesperson disclosed on Wednesday. The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, revealed that the command received a distress call on October 4, 2026, concerning an abandoned infant discovered in a bush in the Jabi area of the FCT. Swiftly, the Jabi Police Division deployed operatives to the scene, who recovered the lifeless body of a male infant with severe wounds on the throat and abdomen. The baby was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals confirmed the child's demise. Upon receiving the recovered infant, Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, initiated a manhunt for the individual responsible for the killing. With community assistance, police operatives traced and arrested Yohanna, a resident of Riyam in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, who presently resides in the Daki-Biu/Jabi area of the FCT. Preliminary investigation unveiled that the suspect was the mother of the deceased infant, who had given birth to the baby inside her residence on October 3, 2026. According to Adeh, Yohanna employed a razor blade to inflict the fatal injuries on the newborn, confessing that her motive was hatred for the baby's father. The suspect remains in custody as the investigation proceeds. The Commissioner of Police commended the community for their assistance in identifying and apprehending the suspect, condemning the incident as a grave violation of human life. CP Sanusi pledged a thorough investigation and assured the public that the suspect would be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.",
