"account": "A 22-year-old woman in Chhattisgarh's Balod district is at risk of losing her vision following an acid attack that occurred on Monday afternoon. The victim, who was preparing for competitive exams, was returning home from the library when Yash Kumar Sonkar and his friend Karan Kunjam ambushed her. They threw acid on her face and hand before fleeing the scene. The injuries sustained by the woman are severe, with deep wounds on her right cheek and right eye, which may result in a complete loss of vision. According to a doctor, she has 8% burns on her body, and while she will recover, restoring vision in her right eye will be a lengthy process. This is reportedly the first acid attack in Balod, leading to widespread outrage among the community. Police swiftly traced and arrested Sonkar and Kunjam eight hours after the incident, incurring them with shaved heads for public display in court. The victim's friends demand capital punishment for the attackers, stating that this is the first such incident in Balod's history and vowing to continue fighting until justice is served.",
