"account": "The International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA) recently honored individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the live entertainment industry during its 2026 Honors & Awards event held in Nashville. The annual Industry Awards, voted on by IEBA members, recognized outstanding achievements in various sectors including venues, talent buyers, agents, promoters, festivals, and fairs. IEBA Executive Director Brian Wagner emphasized that the honorees represent both the history and the future of live entertainment, highlighting the event's significance as they gathered in Nashville to conclude a successful 56th Annual Conference. Among the notable recipients was KISS guitarist Gene Simmons, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his more than five-decade-long career and enduring impact on live entertainment. IEBA also inducted two new members into its Hall of Fame: Chubby Checker, a 1960s rock 'n' roll icon with hits like \"The Twist\" and \"Pony Time,\" and concert promoter Gil Cunningham, whose career has played a crucial role in shaping live entertainment and artist touring. The ceremony introduced a new award, the Barbara \"Mother\" Hubbard Mentorship Award, named after long-time industry leader and Hall of Fame member Barbara Hubbard. This award recognizes the importance of mentorship in nurturing the next generation of live entertainment professionals, underscoring that the industry's strength lies not only in its accomplishments but also in its commitment to fostering relationships and investing in the future.",
