Among the finalists are a surprised owl, a brown bear striking a pose, a squirrel playfully knocking an owl off its perch, and a critically endangered orangutan appearing to flip off the camera in Borneo. Other notable photos include a sparrowhawk balancing like an Olympic gymnast, a lion seemingly posing for a selfie, and a mantis with a unique framing trick.
