"account": "Nigerian passenger Chinedu Eze succumbed to death during a Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi to Lagos on October 6, 2026, just twenty minutes before the aircraft was due to land at Murtala Muhammed International Airport. The tragic incident occurred when the cabin crew discovered the passenger unresponsive during the plane's final approach to landing. Despite the quick response from emergency medical personnel on board and upon landing, the passenger was pronounced dead following an on-board examination.\n\nKenya Airways released an official statement expressing their condolences to the deceased's family and apologizing for any disruptions caused by the emergency. The airline emphasized their commitment to respecting the deceased's dignity and privacy as they coordinate with local authorities, aviation regulatory bodies, and the family to assist with post-incident procedures. An insider source revealed that the deceased did not exhibit any signs of illness prior to boarding the flight, but showed signs of distress and despondency onboard. This may be connected to the unconfirmed report that he was to disembark in Madagascar, his final destination on the first leg of the journey, but was denied entry in Madagascar and forced to return to Nigeria by Kenya Airways. Passengers seated near him on the return flight reported he was restless throughout the flight, causing cabin crew and other passengers to restrain him. However, shortly after the plane entered Nigeria's airspace, the passenger became motionless and was later pronounced dead.",
