"account": "Jason Odeh was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday for the murder of 27-year-old Yelena Gerenberg, according to the Central District Court in Lod. The two had been friends for around four years before Odeh killed her when she rejected his romantic advances. Odeh attacked Gerenberg inside his car, stabbing her over ten times with a knife he had prepared beforehand. He then drove her body to a remote location, doused it in gasoline, and was prepared to burn it, though he did not light the fuel. The court unanimously convicted Odeh of aggravated murder in July and rejected his claim that the killing was spontaneous. The maximum compensation of NIS 258,000 was ordered to be paid to Gerenberg's family, and the court emphasized the cruelty and premeditation of the crime.",
