"account": "In 2025, Google introduced Android XR, an extended reality platform developed jointly with Samsung for smart eyewear. However, no commercially available smart glasses emerged until now - the Xreal Aura. This pair of glasses, manufactured by Xreal, is set to go on pre-order soon.\n\nThe Aura is not a headset, but rather a pair of spatial computing eyewear. It weighs only 95 grams due to its connection to a separate device, similar in size to a smartphone. Powered by a Snapdragon Reality Elite chip, these glasses boast see-through displays, a 70-degree field of view, hand-tracking capabilities, and Bose audio technology. They offer a mixed reality experience akin to a headset, but maintain the sleek appearance of ordinary sunglasses.\n\nThe Xreal Aura can be used for various activities such as streaming media, listening to music, gaming, working on documents, attending virtual meetings, and exploring surroundings with AI assistance. The accompanying device also serves as a trackpad and fingerprint scanner.\n\nPriced at $1,279 for a model with 12GB of memory and 256GB storage, or $1,499 for 16GB memory and 512GB storage, the Aura is not a budget option. However, it offers similar pricing to other high-end smart glasses like Meta's VR Glasses at $1,299 and Samsung's Galaxy XR at $1,799. The Aura will be available for pre-order later this month with a $199 deposit, in two sizes: medium and large. It will be available in the US, Canada, Japan, and South Korea before the holiday season, with more markets to follow next year.",
