"account": "KT Wiz outfielder Choi Won-jun shattered the single-season hits record in the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) on Wednesday. The 29-year-old collected his 203rd hit of the season against the Samsung Lions at KT Wiz Park in Suwon, surpassing the previous record of 202 set by Victor Reyes of the Lotte Giants in 2024. Both players entered the game with 201 hits apiece. Choi edged past Reyes when he collected his 202nd hit moments before Reyes added his 202nd against the Kia Tigers at Sajik Baseball Stadium in Busan. Choi's 203rd hit came courtesy of a bloop single to left field off Lee Seung-hyun. Reyes, however, retains the opportunity to surpass Choi's tally, as the Giants have four games left in the season, while the Wiz only have two more games to play. Reyes has remained injury-free since joining the Giants in 2024 and holds the distinction of being the first player in KBO history to achieve multiple 200-hit seasons.",
