"summary": "Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has bid farewell to Ajit Agarkar, the outgoing chief selector, praising his conviction and highlighting the three ICC trophies India won during his tenure. Agarkar's tenure as chairman of the senior men’s selection committee ended on October 4, after officially taking charge in July 2023. During his time, India reached the 2023 ODI World Cup final, won the 2024 T20 World Cup, the 2025 Champions Trophy, and the 2026 T20 World Cup. Gambhir, who worked closely with Agarkar during his tenure as India head coach, acknowledged the selector's approach of putting the team ahead of individual considerations. Pragyan Ojha is currently serving as interim chairman of selectors and may be appointed full-time based on seniority if the BCCI's eventual choice has played fewer Tests.",
