"account": "ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev are inside the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, preparing for undocking from the International Space Station. At 6:05 a.m. EDT, the hatch between the Dragon spacecraft and the ISS closed, initiating NASA’s Crew-12 return operations. The spacecraft will autonomously separate from the orbiting lab at around 8:05 a.m. to commence its return journey to Earth. NASA will begin streaming live undocking coverage at 7:45 a.m. across various platforms. To view the coverage online, visit https://www.nasa.gov/live. Following the undocking, NASA will share audio discussions between the crew, the space station, and flight controllers as Dragon departs from the orbital complex. Live return coverage will resume at 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, concluding with splashdown. Additional information about station activities can be found on the space station blog, @space_station on X, as well as the ISS Facebook and Instagram accounts.
