"account": "World number one Jannik Sinner will not play again in 2026 due to a persistent right knee injury. The 25-year-old Italian, who won Wimbledon in July, announced his decision to end the season early in an Instagram video. Sinner, who has five Grand Slam titles to his name, stated that he needed to focus on his long-term career. Over the past year, Sinner dominated the game, winning 44 of his 47 singles matches and claiming five Masters 1000 titles consecutively between March and May. This earned him the title of the youngest man to complete the 'career Golden Masters'. However, his injury has sidelined him, leaving Alexander Zverev, the second-ranked player, poised to become world number one by the year's end. Sinner's absence means he will miss out on defending the points he earned at the China Open, Vienna, Paris, and the ATP Finals. Despite his injury, Sinner had a successful year, winning six titles in 2026 on all three surfaces and losing only one singles match between March and July. His only defeat came against Novak Djokovic in Melbourne at the beginning of the year.",
