"account": "Mauritius anticipates over 3,000 delegates attending the US-Africa Business Summit, set to commence on December 6. The four-day event aims to connect American companies with African governments in search of investment opportunities. The summit, taking place from December 6-9 at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre in Mauritius, is hosted by the Corporate Council on Africa in collaboration with the Mauritian government. US Ambassador Craig Halbmaier and Foreign Minister Dhananjay Ramful addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of the summit being judged by the contracts and investments generated. Foreign Minister Ramful highlighted that US-Africa relations now extend beyond development aid into trade, investment, technology, and artificial intelligence. Business Minister Aadil Ameer Meea urged participating firms to come with concrete projects, investments, and partnerships rather than just brochures and business cards. The summit offers eligible African countries duty-free access to the US market for various goods through the African Growth and Opportunity Act, which was renewed until December 31, 2028.",
