"account": "The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has cautioned its members in Anambra State to refrain from backing Peter Obi and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming 2027 general election, warning that such support could harm the party's political future. National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, PhD, issued an explicit statement titled \"A Betrayal Alert for Ndi APGA,\" urging APGA members to remain loyal to the party. Opara challenged Obi's continuous political association with APGA, maintaining that the former Anambra State governor consistently supports Obi's candidates against APGA candidates in every election cycle. He emphasized that a vote for Obi and the NDC would essentially be a vote against APGA, stressing that there was no formal or informal agreement between the two parties concerning power-sharing. Opara further characterized APGA as a recognized political entity, contrasting it with the NDC, which he described as a \"Special Purpose Vehicle.\" The spokesman also defended the party's backing for President Bola Tinubu, attributing it to both their historical collaboration and the Tinubu administration's infrastructure initiatives in the Southeast. He stressed the importance of defending APGA’s political dominance in Anambra, urging members to stay united and safeguard the party’s stronghold in the state.",
