During a press conference in Lagos, Oyedeji outlined his vision for rebuilding and repositioning Nigerian basketball. With over 30 years of experience in the sport, including roles as a player, club owner, administrator, and philanthropist, Oyedeji emphasizes his commitment to the sport rather than personal gain.\n\nThe NBBF presidential candidate highlights his extensive basketball background, including his membership in the FIBA Players Commission and his leadership positions in the Nigeria Olympians Association and the Nigeria Olympic Committee. Oyedeji asserts that Nigerian basketball is at a pivotal point, and with the right structure and leadership, it has the potential to thrive.\n\nIf elected, Oyedeji promises to implement several key initiatives. These include revamping domestic leagues, enhancing player welfare, strengthening governance, and developing sustainable infrastructure. He pledges to prioritize player health, financial well-being, and career pathways, ensuring timely payments and comprehensive insurance coverage. Additionally, Oyedeji plans to rebuild corporate confidence through accountability and leverage global partnerships to attract investment.\n\nA core aspect of Oyedeji's campaign is player welfare, asserting that every NBBF decision will prioritize these factors. He draws upon his international experience, dedication to good governance, and passion for youth development. Ultimately, Oyedeji's goal extends beyond merely securing the presidency. He aims to leave the sport in a stronger and better position for future generations.",
