"account": "On Tuesday, the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) honored 435 retiring and retired teaching and non-teaching staff with a send-off ceremony at the LASUBEB Multipurpose Hall in Maryland. The retirees included former directors, deputy directors, assistant directors, chief clerical officers, head watchmen, senior foremen, chief driver mechanics, gardeners, and others across the state's 57 local government areas and local council development areas.\n\nLASUBEB Head of Service, Bode Agoro, urged retirees to remain active and engaged, rather than staying idle, emphasizing the importance of keeping the mind sharp and the body moving. Agoro, represented by Deputy Director, Post Service Department, Bisi Rowland, recommended retirees to visit the state government's wellness and recreational centers. LASUBEB Chairman, Dr Hakeem Shittu, called for financial discipline and warned retirees against living a false life, urging them to prioritize good health and regular medical check-ups.\n\nGuest speaker, Saheed Bashir, Managing Director of Meristem Stockbrokers Limited, cautioned retirees against investing in schemes they had no knowledge of, emphasizing the importance of health insurance and a steady income stream for a long and healthy retirement. Retirees, represented by Eniola Olatunde, expressed gratitude to the state government for their welfare and appreciated the opportunity to join LASUBEB's entrepreneurial programs, wellness centers, and monthly webinars.",
