"summary": "KT&G Corp., Korea's dominant tobacco company, has announced the commencement of operations at its second tobacco manufacturing plant in Indonesia, located in Pasuruan, East Java. This expansion aims to strengthen the company's presence in Southeast Asia, with the new plant serving as a manufacturing base for goods exported to neighboring countries and other markets. With an annual production capacity of 21 billion cigarettes, the new plant brings KT&G's total production capacity in Indonesia to 35 billion cigarettes, complementing its existing plant in Surabaya. The company currently operates tobacco plants in five countries, with its four overseas plants expected to reach a combined annual production capacity of 65 billion cigarettes. KT&G aims to generate half of its sales overseas by 2027.",
