"account": "On 6 October 2026, a family in Chachoengsao braved treacherous floodwaters to transport their autistic son to a hospital for an important medical appointment. They carried their son in a large plastic basin while navigating through chest-high water in the Ban Bang Phaniang area of Khu Yai Mi subdistrict, Sanam Chai Khet district. The community had been experiencing flooding for 11 days, and Mayor Thongchai Phromphithak and subdistrict headman Sanan Phromphithak were distributing relief bags to those affected. The couple explained that their son, who also had a high fever, needed medical care, prompting the mayoral vehicle to intervene and help the family continue their journey more safely. Though floodwaters had started to recede, certain areas like the Lom Choi intersection still faced rapid water flow from the Si Yat Reservoir, making it difficult for small vehicles to pass. Local authorities have since set up teams to monitor the situation around the clock and aid those impacted by the flooding.",
