"account": "Senate President Godswill Akpabio emphasized that the National Assembly serves as a bridge connecting the aspirations of ordinary Nigerians to government decisions during his speech at the 153rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Arusha, Tanzania. He highlighted inclusion, trust, and opportunity as the key pillars of a successful democracy. Akpabio argued that a government's effectiveness should be measured by its impact on people's daily lives, rather than just elections or economic indicators. He stressed that trust, rather than being something that can be legislated or demanded, is earned through fairness, transparency, and accountability. Akpabio underscored that every promise kept by the government strengthens trust, and that citizens must feel heard and valued. He stressed that Nigeria's diversity is a source of collective strength and that no citizen or community should be left out of the country's future. Akpabio also mentioned that the current administration, working with the 10th National Assembly, is implementing reforms aimed at increasing participation and expanding opportunities for Nigerians. These reforms include expanded regional development institutions, tax reforms to make the system fairer and reduce the burden on low-income earners and small businesses, and educational initiatives like the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which provides interest-free financing for higher education to eligible students.",
