"account": "KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 — The Dewan Rakyat will focus on several key issues during today's session. Datuk Mohd Suhaimi Abdullah (PN-Langkawi) will question the Works Minister on ways to improve contractor selection and performance assessment to tackle delays in government projects and 'sick projects'. Rodiyah Sapiee (GPS-Batang Sadong) will inquire about the progress of the proposed Parental Care Bill and its implications for senior citizens as the nation deals with an ageing population. Aminuddin Harun (PH-Port Dickson) intends to discuss the Education Ministry's readiness to handle a surge in six and seven-year-olds entering Year One for the 2027 school year. Onn Abu Bakar (PH-Batu Pahat) will seek updates on government efforts to preserve Tan Sri P. Ramlee's artistic works, specifically regarding the acquisition or repurchase of his films' copyright and management rights. The sitting will conclude with the presentation of a motion regarding the Auditor-General's Report (LKAN) 2/2026, urging ministries, departments, and agencies to objectively review the report's findings and recommendations to enhance governance integrity and public fund management. The day-long session, which started last Monday, will run for 37 days until December 8.",
