"account": "California Governor Gavin Newsom harshly criticized President Donald Trump for his comments suggesting foreign enemies might target major U.S. cities like Los Angeles and San Diego. The remarks came during a political rally in Nebraska, just a month before the midterm elections that could return Democrats to control of Congress. Newsom described Trump as \"deranged and dangerous\" and expressed concern over the safety of Los Angeles and San Diego, two of the largest cities in California and the second-largest in the nation. Mayor Karen Bass of Los Angeles joined the backlash, warning that Trump's comments were \"dangerous and could potentially compromise our safety.\" The White House declined to comment on the criticism.",
