"account": "California Governor Gavin Newsom has harshly condemned President Donald Trump's remarks suggesting Iran could take out major US cities like Los Angeles and San Diego. The California governor labeled Trump's comments as \"deranged and dangerous\" in response to the Republican president's remarks at a political rally in Nebraska. The remarks come about a month before midterm elections that could return Democrats to control of Congress. Trump claimed the cost of war is a \"small price to pay\" for keeping the world safe, adding that the conflict \"is almost over\" and \"will end one way or the other.\" This sparked backlash from California officials, with Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass denouncing Trump's comments as potentially compromising safety.",
